I just looked at my maintenance logs. One car is around 30k and the other is 60k. I guess I'm not paying close enough attention...
Drain and Fill ATF Interval?

Thanks for all your advice. Just to make sure I have communicated properly, I'm not planning on doing a pan drop. Ever. Dropping the pan on the Highlander is way out of my pay grade.
I do a 4 time drain out over 4 weeks out of drain plug hole and refill in all of my cars when I purchase them. Some cars drained out 4 qts and some drained out 3 qts. So I have done the initial fill with new ATF in all my cars as best I can. Using info like Or
has shared above, I figured I got to about 75-80% new fluid in each of my transmissions. What I am now trying to do is merely maintain a fairly fresh ATF. I have been draining out whatever comes out the drain plug hole when cold and replacing every 10K with fresh fluid.
I'm thinking that might even be excessive for me since I'm using a very good Synthetic ATF.
Since I change my oil every 5K, I figured changing the ATF by 2-3 qts every 20K would give me plenty of protection and allow me to sleep well.

I did a full ATF and filter replace on my escalade at about 170k miles with maxlife. I won’t change it ever again unless I get to 250k miles. I did 2 drain and refill w new filter on my daily driver cts w maxlife at 125k miles. I will do a drain and fill at 150k miles for the last time as I probably will no longer own the car passed 200k miles
I try to do yearly D&F's on the Civic which is about 25K give or take. Two gallons of ML give my three D&F's so this is roughly $16 each. Unfortunately my Versa is unable to do D&F's with their ridiculous design.
I do 30K D&Fs for most cars, unless that fluid is proven to go longer or is ridiculously easy to change.
Speaking of which, I need to do mine soon. Prius, easy procedure. Just a pain to raise it up sans lift.

30K (which is about once a year)...Toyota's WS-ATF additives are depleting at that point according to a used oil analysis I read back in 2010 or so.
On my other cars are also once a year, usually as Spring is ending.

Yes, that fluid wears out faster than Mel Gibson's welcome at an open bar. I'd substitute MaxLife or another quality compatible LV fluid for it in any application.

If from new, every 30,000 miles. If used, then right when I get it (along with a pan drop and filter change if applicable). If a high mileage/never been done, I do a 500 mile run, drain and fill, 1000 miles, drain and fill, 5000 miles, drain and fill then every 10,000 (every other oil change or so).

Once a year/10-12k. Car was probably neglected as the drain and fill I did last year came out black when I changed it this past weekend. Trying to do it slow so I don't shock the system. DIY flushes are popular with toyota 2azfe owners. Not for me and this transmissions mileage. From what I've learned on this site, if it's gonna go doesn't matter if you change the fluid or not. Why not maintain it while I can, though fingers crossed it stays okay. I use castrol multi vehicle import bc I got it cheap from amazon last year. May try something else once the stash runs out.
