Since Google told me, & no one else has posted it here:

Had Douglas Adams lived(died in 01), today would have been his 61st birthday. If you're not familiar with his name, you've at least heard of Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy . The 12 original BBC radio programs, & the original TV mini-series made from them, are still great entertainment IMO.

He was a guest speaker at a Sun Microsystems event I attended years ago.

Interesting fellow to say the least. He was talking about the need for digital micro-payments.

Sad that he has passed.
