Double Bucket Overrated?

Would you be eager to fly on a scuzzy aircraft? It's almost as if cleanliness is a good indicator of overall condition...
I've had the "pleasure" of flying both economy and business class of AF. Let's just say the exterior of this 777 of theirs is reflective of their service, food and product.

Yes, many airliners have dirty aircraft, but out of all my plane spotting endeavours and travels, I have noticed that AF has the "dirtiest" fleet. Maybe it's just coincidence. Either way, I would never fly them after my experiences with them.

Same experience I have had with AF … then it lands at CDG … dirty airport …

If you spend many hours (or days) to restore your paint, you would very much appreciate this seemingly wasteful method. Its very simple, wash the car incorrectly one time, and you get to restore your paint again, or spend extra time to wash it correctly and not have to......Very simple choice.

For me, I have 13 vehicles (auction addiction) and cannot wash them all on time. So they get very dirty. If I were to rinse the car, then use a wash mit to wash the car, i'd be putting tons of micro swirls into the paint. I use a combination of prewash (aggressive PH) foam thru a foam cannon first, then powerwash, then another application of neutral PH car was foam thru a foam cannon, and powerwash again, then I use the two bucket wash mitt process, and blow dry. I live with a little water spots. I feel using a drying aid, and drying the car by hand increased the scratches.

For a car you do not want perfect, skip the double bucket.

You guys with a car washing fetish , really need to get a more productive hobby. Like a girlfriend, or a dog. Remember you car won't ever love you back, as much a you love to clean it.,,,
You guys with a non car washing fetish , really need to get a more productive hobby. Like two buckets with grit guards or microfibre hand mits. Remember, your girlfriend will never love you back as much as you love to spoil her.

I started doing the Apex detail, multiple wash mitt and 1 bucket method. Too early to tell, but so far its working. Since my MF loads are generally light, using more [MF] is a good thing for me.

I started using a similar towel to what I use for ONR. 5 or 6 of them in a bucket and just flip/fold so I'm always on a clean side. The wash mix is always clean. This method really shines if you're doing multiple cars. Just get more clean towels if you need them.

I've also noticed Larry of AMMO doing the same in some of his recent videos.

Unless you thoroughly wash and wax the underside of your car every time you wash the top side, you shouldn't even be posting here. Everybody know cars from Canada fall apart from rust, due to the road salt used. No amount of car wash's, or microfiber mitts will stop that from happening. But you will have one of the nicest, shiniest, un-drivable cars in the scrapyard !!!.,,,

Today I learned cars from New Jersey never rust

A dog may not mind getting a ride in a grotty crate.

Good undercarriage hygiene is worthwhile.

Just finished washing a car today and figured it was a good opportunity to show how using the two-bucket method keeps your soapy water clean.

That is a very minimal amount of dirt. A degreaser pre-soak, followed by a pressure washer rinse, could have removed that before the wash. And would have saved you time.
