I'm sure Castrol is a good product (and I used to use GTX as break-in oil when I'd assemble an engine), but sheesh. For the past few years they just KEEP finding ways to irritate me with their unclear product tiering and hideously annoying advertising.
Its funny because here in the UK (the home of Castrol, sort of...) They have spent the last 18 months / 2 years simplifying their range down to just three/four lines.

And its all really rather simple. Perhaps for the US it is down to the perception in marketing that the average consumer wants ever more options and ever more new products. I'm not saying this is exactly the case mind, just that Americans seem to like a lot choice.
