Don’t forget to change your alarm clock.

i did , last and final time!
Here in British Columbia Canada our Premier announced last week that 2026 is the last and final Daylight Savings Time change.
Next year no more, abolished.
We were waiting for the West Coast of USA to agree together with B.C., as we wanted to be in alignment with Seattle , Portland and of course Los Angeles, but too much heel dragging in the USA.
So we finally, after years of debating and promises, have agreed no more DST starting in 2026.
Already the ''experts'' are predicting doom and gloom, suicide rates to go up and people will eat their own poop instead of flushing it.
Meh, I got no issues with getting rid of it.

Somebody should have a talk with Arizona, since they abolished DST quite a while ago. Their suicide rates could drop literally overnight based on their analysis of the effects of DST on the human body. FYI, Arizona did this as to not extend the blistering heat another hour each evening during the summer. Enough is enough! "At least it's a dry heat".

This makes perfect sense. Arizona is on Mountain Standard time year round. That way they will be out and about in the relatively cooler morning rather than having an extra hour in the evening when it’s above 100 F.

Coastal British Columbia in Canada will be on Pacific daily savings time year round which will give them that extra hour in the evening to play golf in the summer. The disadvantage of course is in the winter they will most likely be driving to work in the dark. Sunrise in Vancouver will be at 9:05 AM instead of 8:05 AM on Dec 21.

It hit me last night, not that I'm complaining, but this time change didn't affect me as much as past time-changes.

I normally wake up at 2:30am for work, I had to wake up at 1:30am yesterday. I was feeling it all day. They need to get rid of this time change garbage. These farmers can light up their fields with the LED lights on their combines.

I think you have it half right. You're staying on DST permanently. So, it is the final time you have to change the clocks to DST. Of course, until they decide to change it back.

Wife's cell phone alarm went off at 6:30 yesterday morning. She had it set for 7:30 to get up for church. Both of our cell phone's decided to reset to Mountain time early Sunday morning. She changed them both back to Phoenix time. Why do cell and computer companies believe the have the right to dictate settings to us.

why ''half correct''? I said no more clock changing. :)ending twice yearly clock changes.

I went to bed early Saturday night so I'd waker up at my normal time.
Exactly....I used to do just that. For awhile. Then I got into a bad habit of just going to bed late anyways.
Now I'm in mid my mid 50s, if I go to bed too early , say 10pm or 11pm, most likely wake up at 4am/5am.
Midnite is the sweet spot...even later. 7am wakeup.
I find if I go to bed very late, for whatever reason, like 2am and get only 5 to 5.5 hours sleep, I feel gross when I awake. Like, nauseous, the heart feels goofy, head all brain fogged up. Three cups of coffee and up and moving, blood circulating, i'm good to go. So I try to avoid the 5 hour sleep stupidity. My body needs at least a full seven hours, six hours at minimum.
Over 12 years ago I had a long bout of insomnia. That was horrendous. Lasted a year, almost killed me, I was wasting away. Unrelated , I had a colonoscopy 11 months into the insomnia (was severe insomnia/high anxiety/no appetite). They removed 3 polyps, turned out to be non cancerous. Almost within days, little by little, the insomnia loosened it's grip, went from maybe one hour a night to three, then five , etc, over next 9 months or so. Doctor said the polyps and insomnia unrelated, was a strange one . Two years later, I get mild insomnia for at least 4 months. This time not as horrible, but still was awful. Cleared up on it's own. I then went on a mission to improve health /mind/body...and things greatly improved, no more insomnia.

I actually nod off in my living room chair early before bedtime, probably because the thermostat set at 74-75F in winter months and it makes me too drowsy. And I'm getting older . ;)
