Donaldson Synteq & Fleetguard StrataPore... the same exact filter media?

I've been doing a lot of searching about this, and it appears that these two are the same. If so, it really just comes down to which one we can get a better deal on.

Am I missing something here? Are these medias the same?

Yes, they are both 100% synthetic medias.

No they are not exactly the same..

The amount and type of "layers" of media used.

Fleetguard uses 5 layers of media. Including Meltblown polyester.

Donaldson doesn't use the meltblown process and uses 3 layers.
