Can anyone help me source Donaldson filters? My local parts stores either have no idea what I'm talking about or want $16 per filter with a minimum order of 12.

The part # I need is P550518.

Try calling Donaldson and seeing who their distributor is for your area. Or call your local truck dealer. Freightliner, KW, Pete, Volvo all have access to Donaldson.

The Donaldson toll free number is listed in the sticky at the top of the page..

I can buy locally thru a indutrial filter wholesaler or a DETROIT DIESEL dealer. Likely somthing similar in your area. Ck D-son website.

P550518 is for a Duramax?

I was looking for this filter and could not find anyone who had it. Min purchase was in case lot..

Amsoil carries the P series oil filters but not this model..

The Donaldson is likely to be a 100% synthetic media. The Wix not.

I get the impression that when people post where can I buy....threads, they are looking for local sources where they can buy 1 filter at a time and not an internet source where shipping and handling is added. Let alone some places that may require you buy a case of a specific part number.
