Donaldson P558615 C&P 1826 miles in on HP EC40

Wasn’t sure what to expect using the HP EC40 so I changed the first Donaldson P558615 Filter with 1826 miles on it. Was relatively clean, saw a few specs in the bottom of the can. Wrapped the filter media with some paper towels.

I put a Napa Gold 7620 (Affina group) Filter back on after I topped it off with some Delo 15w40 CJ4 I had on the shelf. Will run that another 3174 miles so the HP EC40 can clean for 5k total.

Curiosity gets the best of us sometimes. Where you the one that ran some pretty long miles on your Ram? This filter looks real clean if so.

I doubt it, I only have 161k miles on it.

Ah, I must be thinking of someone else then. They were putting like 18k on their Ram ODI. Anyways, do you prefer the Napa or Donaldson filter? I do know Donaldson air filters are superior.

My preference is towards Donaldson DBL or Fleetguard StrataPore synthetic media filters. I grabbed these two filters knowing I’d have shorter change intervals.
