Ran on a Jeep 4.7 for 6 months 4900 miles. Seemed okay. I replaced with the same.

This cooling system was/is a mess. Those are rust particles in the bucket. The 6 month old G05 turned orange.

There's some chunks in that filter. Good idea running a filter. Did you buy pre-made bypass hose kit or fab up your own?

I added my own contraption. Just drilled/tapped two holes in the "frame" and connected to the hose going to the heater core. The stock skid plate covers it when installed.

Replaced the filter again today. This one was used 10 months and 10kish miles. Everything looked the same except the rubber restrictor was torn. Seems it would still filter but move through faster?

Couple more pictures of the media and sand like stuff in the bucket. The rusty chunks are gone at least.
