Donaldson filter question

For me, it'd be a Chrysler Pentastar 3.6 V6 that's had a spin on oil filter adapter installed. Not your every day Fleetguard application!

Please educate me if I'm wrong, but I always shied away from the Fleetguards simply because they are diesel engine filters and don't share some of the required specs. But maybe it doesn't matter?

That specific Donaldson is on the list as well.

The extra bonus of using a Fleetguard product is the non pro-rated warranty...the other filter companies don't offer this level of protection in the event of a destroyed engine.

I'd absolutely run that Fleetguard LF17531. The only problem is that it's about 1/3 to 1/4 of an inch too tall for my application. If I were a more resourceful man, I'm sure I could find a Fleetguard with virtually the same dimensions, just a little shorter.
