Dog sets house on fire with lithium ion battery pack

The look on the dogs face while watching the fire...what have we done?
That cracks me up. I've lost count of how many videos I've seen where the owner comes home to chaos and right in the middle of it is Fido with a very guilty look on his face. I don't know if they're reacting to the owner's reaction or what, but it's been pretty consistent.

Wow I had a beagle and a beagle-corgi mix and I don't think either of them would have chewed on a battery. Tennis ball, and rawhide yes but a battery?
My mutt loves TV remote controls. They're crunchy like bones. Wonder if they should coat them in bittering agent like they do CR2032s (so kids don't swallow them.)

Is it coincidence that Samsung is also concerned that pets are turning on stoves and burning houses down? Is there a new intelligence that is overtaking the human race? Good luck to all.

They used to put burner controls in the back so kids couldn't reach them, but figured it was safer having them down in front. I'd be fine having a secondary ball valve that shuts off all the burners at once, in a convenient spot, but out of the way of any potential grease fires. Maybe even with a kid-resistant spring loaded thingie locking it off.

One of our little dogs HATES fire. If I take the bbq lighter out of the drawer she goes nuts and chases me outside with it. We encourage her to continue. Call her our fire dog.

One day I parked the wife's car in the attached garage, and came in. She was going nuts at the door to the garage, wouldn't let up. Went out and something smelled burnt. Hit the garage door to get some fresh air thinking the car had gotten something on the exhaust and the door wouldn't move. The garage door opener had let the smoke out.

Pretty sure I won't sleep through a fire.
