Hi everyone,
I was able to stop a transmission leak in a 1996 Plymouth Voyager, 3.0, for a year, by using "No leak". The problem has surfaced again. Is it safe to use a similar product repeatedly?
Your comments will be greatly appreciated!

The leak is from the main seal inside the case. I usually notice a small pool of atf after a prolonged drive, 1 hour or more.

Is the fluid at the correct level, not over full?

If so,you may need to be careful using this stuff.

A trans. valve body has several small passages, not to mention other tricky parts.

It may be possible for this stuff to accumilate and plug something that it shouldnt.

If you cant replace the seal.

Try changing out the fluid and filter.

This should get some of the stop leak out.

After this, refill to the proper level, you should be able to use the stop leak again, just be sure to keep an eye on things.

It is also possible that the seal has gotten to the point that stop leak wont help.

motorguy222,
The fluid level is where it should be. I check it every week. The atf is changed every year (13000 miles). I have installed an inline filter in addition to the one that is located in the pan. My trans shifts very well.
I am afraid that your comment "It is also possible that the seal has gotten to the point that stop leak wont help. " might be true.
My van has 81,000 miles with the original trans.
I appreciate everyone's responses!
many thanks

Unless you are regularly replacing the tranny fluid, you are diluting the tranny fluid with the additive.

While one dose is OK, the problem of fluid dilution will increase with each new addition of the additive to your tranny.

Two doses are likely OK, but at some extreme point you'll reach a critical dilution point where all you've got in there is stop leak

Just something to ponder.
