I'm now using MMO at the recommended 4oz/10gal dose for my two-stroke 40hp outboard. Sometimes it sits a month or two between uses (no winterizing as there's no real winter here). Would the MMO be enough of a fuel stabilizer?

Youre supposed to fog marine engines with MMO, right? Itr must have some inherent anti-oxidative, stabilizing functionality to it...

Id say that its OK for stabilizing for a few months at least...

Not sure about the stabilizing ability, but it makes a great fogging oil. I use it on a small 15 HP outboard I have. Been using it since I bought this engine new in 1988, no problems at all.

One time it sat for almost 6 years, it started right up but needed some tweaking and adjusting to get it to run properly. I now use it about 4 days a year, and it fires up and runs fine.
