Does 'MD-3' replace Mercon?

My wife just bought a case of ATF for me @ Costco. All they had was the Chevron labeled MD-3. I'm supposed to fill my Ford w/ mercon. Is this suitable? It says on the back for most Chevy, Fords pre 2006. Just never heard of it.

I've never heard of it either but it sounds like their DexIII/Mercon product. I would check with Chevron.

It is your regular good ol' mineral Mercon(M) and DexronIII(D3)replacement, hence MD3!

I'm using it in my Corolla right now and it seems to be very good.

Very good fluid for Mercon/Dex III applications with pretty good specs too. Works better than most everytime I've used it, my T45 loves it.
