From a medical standpoint, I'd have to say no.

If you are looking for relief that won't knock you out, try Naproxen Sodium....get the generic at walmart or wherever, same as alieve.

I've been popping those babies for awhile, they work just OK, but are hard on the gut. I'm healing but the process is slow and the pain intense at times.

Pablo:
take naproxen with food; but i bet you already know that;
watch out for very dark/tarry/coffee grounds-looking stool, and if you see any, stop naproxen and see md quick.

hmmmmm, see if you can get some Indomethecin....hard on the gut too, but taken with food, you'll probably get more relief.

indocin is NASTY stuff... for me it's like a grenade going off in my stomach. there are no words to describe the taste of the pill either.

You're not supposed to chew the capsules

Occupy as many of your senses with other external stimulation.
Example, sight and sound with a good movie with the sound up slightly, while soaking feet in hot water. Anything to get the focus off the pain.

Rub yourself all over with Amsoil gear oil....I'm covered in it and the amount of b itching I'm hearing from my better half is taking my mind off my aches and pains.

Ah, I remember the days when I could take aspirin. Then, one unsuspecting Thursday afternoon I came home with a headache, popped two aspirin and plopped down on the couch. After about 30 minutes my leg started to itch, and 30 minutes later I was covered in hives.

Had no idea it was the aspirin that did it until 4 days later, when I took another and it happened again. I've been sticking with Tylenol since then.

Tylenol. Hmm. I might as well pop jelly beans for the good Tylenol does when I ahve a headache. Same goes for Aleve. The only thing that works is Advil and lots of it. Sometimes Excedrin will help.
