Hi,

I asked a paint shop over the phone about cyan, and they told me that it is not available as a main pigment.

Instead, they can create it by mixing blue, white, and green. However, I’ve often heard that real cyan is a primary pigment and cannot be obtained by mixing other colors.

Are you referring to automotive paint I assume?

Cyan has its place in the additive (where it is a primary color) and subtractive color systems.
Look them up if you want.
At the end of the day, however, it's a color you see on a screen or a pigment mixture you buy in a can.
How it gets there, nobody cares.
Neither should you because you can get so close, you'd need a good spectrometer to detect any difference. And even then, the ambient lighting will effect what the eye sees.

What are you painting?

That May sound silly, but at office, wall has type of light blue color that i can not match by mixing white and dark blue/green colorants sold at the paint shop. Cyan or Cyan looking light blue is all what i need. Actually (interior)paint shop's Mixer tool have greenish blue inside the device. But they can't provide me that color from the machine. Catalogue they have has no color close to mine.
I had experience in the past color matching by adding car paint drops into wall paint succesfully.
I do not want to repaint entire walls. it is just small area. light greenish blue or cyan is all what i need.
i will visit auto paint shop. They are my customer too. Lets see if they can help :)
