Does anyone remember the Marshall football team?

Good afternoon and I apologize in advance. I saw "We are Marshall" last night for the 1st time. Very good movie. Does anyone here remember where they were that fateful day? I am glad the football team has recovered and see that they did win 2 FCS titles. Thanks for info in advance

I was just a kid when it happened so it didn't register with me at the time. But the movie was directed by the awesome McG (of Chuck) and scored by Christophe Beck (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) so now I have to see it. Thanks for the rec.

My Granddaughter is a sophomore engineering student there. She loves it.

That plane crash happened in 1970. I was only 7 years old have no recollection of it.

I was 30 miles from where they played that day so received a lot of local coverage. The team they played that day was stunned along with everybody else. Imagine losing a whole team!
