Hi there, It seems these days no one responds to questions or they just don't want to answer them. I emailed Exxon/Mobil a question about a product. Nothing.
I emailed Valvoline Global 3 times about something. Nothing.
I emailed Amsoil 2 questions on two different products. They got back within a day but couldn't give me any information because it's top Secret KGB stuff or something. Companies kill me these days.

Your email most likely goes into an automatic ticketing system, then divvies that out to customer service reps who do both phone and email.

The bigger the company, the less likely you'll get a reply from a general question if you're not a business account.

I e-mailed them a while back and got this:

"Thank you for reaching out to ExxonMobil Consumer Care. Please contact our Fuels team for further assistance with this matter. Please contact them using 877-659-4333. We value your loyalty and look forward to welcoming you soon at an Exxon™ or Mobil™ station near you. Thank you for choosing Exxon, where energy lives here!"

Maybe it will give you a starting point?

:-)

I think it depends on the question. Some things may not get answered and if it is a general inquiry email, it might take a while to get an answer.

"info @ companyname.com" mailboxes are for completing a website by having a "Contact us" page. Don't waste your time using those address or contact forms. Pick up the phone and try and get a "technical" department and speak to a human being.

I've gotten to where I loathe work emails. All too often, if a client gets my email address he abuses it by including on every email chain wherever possible. Suddenly my inbox is filled by clients and contractors discussing the minutiae of where they are going to place the silt fence. It has become a wall of noise.

I tell our clients that if they want my immediate attention, call me. On the phone. If they want to sneak in under the radar, send me an email.

I can tell you Lubegard got back to me and I had a positive dialogue re: which of their products I should use in my vehicles. The lady answering was very helpful.

We try to do any body shop/collision center business through email since it eliminates the right/left front/rear confusion. One shop will include me in emails with the customer. At one point they somehow got my cell number and gave it to their customers so that they could call me directly to ask about pricing. I was not happy with either.
