Not a cat as in Catalytic Convert but Cat as in MEOW....right Mike?

My roommate and I walk out of our apartment to run to the market and we see some friends of ours outside with the hood propped open. Low and behold... they stopped because they heard a meowing from the engine. First thought... it is a Chevy Malibu with a 3.1L V6...

Well... turns out there was a kitten wedged between the exhaust manifold and the engine. I tried pulling its head out... didn't work. So... I looked under the car and saw its butt... this wasn't a little kitty but a big one. We had to remove the tire and pull the cat out. That sucker fought me the whole way. We got her out. Looked very young... probably 8 months old. She was so shocked from the ordeal, she wouldn't eat. It's chillin at our friend's apartment with her other kitty.

I had to do a Woodchuck-ectomy on my old S-15 Jimmy once.

The bugger found a very comfortable spot on the protector plate (it was flexible plastic so I can't really consider that a skid-plate) in the front of the truck between the frame crossmember and radiator. He wasn't stuck, but apparently really, really liked it there because I had to lever him out with a broom handle so I could leave for work.

Then I had to tell my boss why I was late.....

My work had an abandoned van at the end of the parking lot and I watched a porcupine scurry across the lot then disappear. Found critter on top of the alternator with either a nest or a big pile of rodent detritus.

Once years ago, had to remove a foot only after customer started engine with V-belts.

Just a couple years ago it was an almost alive specimen that had ridden in the fan shroud over twenty miles 90deg+ temp and air coming through rad, that sucker was cooked alive!! Could still mewell and wiggle when I crushed it's head.
