I think the last old car/truck I saw around here was an 80s Suburban. Doors rusted and flapping in the breeze.
We have a 99 Dodge Ram I still haven’t fixed, and a 99 GMC Suburban 2500 that needs more repairs. Both are still tough, useful vehicles so they will be fixed, not trashed.
The last 80s car I had here was an 87 Olds Cutlass Ciera in brown and rust spots. The brown concealed the rust though. It was a Tech4 engine and even had working air conditioning. My brother drove that little car into the ground and sold it for scrap.
But there was a day when the roads were lousy with cars like that, and their corporate cousins. It used to be you could always see a Pontiac Grand Am everywhere.
