Do they make any decent aftermarket lug nuts?

do aftermarket lug nuts/bolts have their own torque to spec that may differ from oem?

Check out Lug Nut Guys. I just ordered and received what I believe are house solid wheel nuts for my wife’s van. I haven’t installed them yet, but they seem good. I wanted to do away with the wheel locks, and for similar money could have bought four factory lugs which are the annoying capped types or a whole set of these solid single piece. McGard was going to be too expensive for my application.

I can’t remember the brand of “lug bolts” that I bought for the Chrysler, but I bought solid Dorman lug nuts for my Ram and they’ve been just fine.
That and drain plug washers are about the only thing I’ll buy with the Dorman brand on it. It’s hard to mess up something as simple as lug nuts and washers.

Just about all American made cars and pickups use those garbage 2 piece lug nuts. The bar is set low so just about any true 1 piece lug nut is a step up.

I've used Costco, Dorman and even some amazon lugnuts with no issues so far.

I got some one piece lug nuts on amazon for my Sienna. The OEM ones were beat on and the outer coating was partly coming off some of them too. They are surprisingly great quality. No complaints.

I bought a generic brand 1 piece ones off Amazon for my F150. After a few years they have a little rust in the corners but are fine and did great for ~$45 for the set.

I thought only Subarus needed new lug nuts :sneaky:

There is nothing wrong with PTC lug nuts. I have used them on a Subaru with no problems :)

Same torque spec as OEM.
