I have a 2005 Dodge ram 4.7 and I drive with a heavy foot sometimes and Ill run on the drag strip usually about 1-2 a week with 2-3 runs a night. (I get free Runs because I know the owner) Shifts around 6k Rpm in this V8. So do synthetics protect better at this rpm Specifically Mobil 1 Extended Performance. Thanks.

Why drag race a truck?

If you are looking for a better form of protection you should use the vehicle as intended.

Because mainly I can to be honest its running 15.3 right from 16.1 stock. I can play with a Hemi whitch is pretty nice. And yes I do use it to tow and haul my stuff around the more I upgrade the engine the easier I can Tow so this kinda serves a dual purpose.

More power to you! Literally.

It's your truck. If you want to drag race, happy low ETs.

I'd use a synthetic. You won't regret it.
