Years ago camping we had a really bad insect night. I was slathered with deet and fell asleep with a plastic flashlight in my hand. Woke up with it melted to my skin and had to yank it free. That stuff is nasty.

I prefer brake cleaner as a detailing cleaner.

Went out and used some bug spray on my beautiful Camry's headlights for this thread. Only spent 10-15 seconds scrubbing each one. The bug spray nozzle clogged up doing the driver's side one so I didn't get a second pass

All you have to do is read the label on the can of OFF, the part that says that it may destroy plastic watch faces and glasses. They put those warnings on the label for a reason.
