Found on Youtube, thought I'd share
I've been using MC FL 910S and Mc Fl 2017B cartridge filters for close to a million miles in Fords and have never seen this.
Not good if some of that crud flows into the oiling system.
I don't believe much of what I see on the web. So I'll keep using MC filters until I actually see a reason to change since my long experience(a million plus miles) with MC has worked well for me. With that said no filter is beyond an occasional failure.Yeah, but times change......
Maybe it is time to change
Motorcraft is changing the design and supplier of some of their filters, maybe driven by the failure record of some models.I don't believe much of what I see on the web. So I'll keep using MC filters until I actually see a reason to change ...

Seems to be what's currently happening. My educated guess is that they will ditch Purolator and go with Champ Labs.
I would change because you think I should??That logic is only accurate if you don't follow data trends.....
- - - & the trend of Motorcraft filters has definitely been going down/worse....
Time to change.
