They look to be Champion Labs type design. The FL500-S is being replaced by an eCore with fiber end cap design.Who is making the new generation of Motorcrafts that were posted on here recently?

Not trying to get too far off topic but I see “eCore” pop up here lots, what is it?They look to be Champion Labs type design. The FL500-S is being replaced by an eCore with fiber end cap design.
It's the black nylon center cage shown below. I think Champion Labs came out with it first and called it "eCore" back then. Not trying to get too far off topic but I see “eCore” pop up here lots, what is it?
I would change because you think I should??
What evidence? I've never said MC filters are the best.. Only I've never had a bad one in the nearly one million miles I've used them.I don't think you "should" do anything....
......but a man who see the evidence that shows a fault - -- and then chooses the faulty product anyway.....
perhaps should reconsider his thought processes when making decisions.
Jus' sayin'

Apparently you're not using the FL820S ... that's the Motorcraft that seems to tear media more than any other. What evidence? I've never said MC filters are the best.. Only I've never had a bad one in the nearly one million miles I've used them.
True, as I have listed in my post signature. If I needed the 820 then I'm sure I would go with something different. What evidence? I've never said MC filters are the best.. Only I've never had a bad one in the nearly one million miles I've used them.
The video never shows the dome end of the filter where the date code would be. It looks authentic to me.A bit late to the party here...Notice there's no visual on the top of the canister - no serial/date of manufacture...Is it an authentic made in 'Murica Motorcraft or a inexpensive copy from China?
Found on Youtube, thought I'd share
May I ask what's the manufacturing date?I recently took off a 910S that had just 3700 miles on it. The filter looked good overall with one exception. It had a small section of the end cap which had no adhesive holding about four filter pleats to the end cap. See the pics. So there was a path around the filter media that oil could (and did, my guess) pass unfiltered. Longer service may have resulted in a tear in the media. There were no chunks of glue loose in the can and no flecks of glue in the can. For this failure and other reported failures, I won't use these filters again. Sad, because I like the design. I just can't trust the build quality any longer.View attachment 177182View attachment 177183
If I remember correctly this is that time frame where quality control was slacking at Purolator...I believe it's gotten better.Per the date code on the can, it appears to have been produced on July 23, 2021.
FL400S ... what's the date code on that one?So I want to post these pics to show that this ML400S did a good job and it had no evident problem observed when I opened it up today.
I failed to record that bit of information. My guess is that I bought it about two years ago.FL400S ... what's the date code on that one?
