I`ve been using DMO 15-40 for about 20+ years in small engines ranging from 3.5 HP up to 24 HP engines. Briggs & Straton, Techumsie( how ever you spell it) and Kohler engines. It seems to work OK for me, some of theses engines have seen very hard use plus getting a little too hot some times from air intake getting plugged and they all seem to run good, no oil usage that i can notice anyway.
Just wondering what everyones opinions are on the subject?

IMO, 5w40 or 15w40 is a good plan for OPE engines that get hot and worked hard. For your average residential lawn mowers, etc, it probably doens't matter much.
