Distilled Water

I'm currently purchasing distilled water for vehicle cooling systems. I run a de-humidifier in the basement and I'm wondering if this is just as good as the distilled that I pay for?

The distilled water has whatever was in your basement air in it. Ordinary household dust, probably some mold, etc.

Been doin it for about 20 yrs guru, never had a problem. Store it 5 gal. camping jugs. A lot better then well water.

Definitely better then well/tap water, but it has all the 'stuff' thats floating in the air in your basement.

Clean your dehumidifier. Use an air filter on it. And, then use that water.
