If true, it appears that this is one of those email notifications as posted on slick deals.com.(below) It has NOT shown up on either DT or DT Direct yet. As said, it MAY show up on the 28th. FYI, starting tomorrow 9/27 till 10/17 at DT, another $70 rebate is in effect for Michelin/BFG tires. Obviously if the $100 rebate deal shows up it would be better, but this is also a good deal. http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/findPromotions.do?pgid=241

I wonder what kind of an offer that they'll make through their DTD website?

I bought the set of 4 GY ComforTreds on the Park Avenue when they ran a $100 off of 4 offer two years ago.... plus GY had a $40 rebate on 4.

Sis needs a set of tires for the Outback before the white stuff flies, and I have a good friend with a F150 Lariat with 18" tires that needs a set before winter as well.

If the deals are right, then the UPS man will be making some bulky deliveries to my house very soon.

That would be a good deal BUT, the $70 DT Michelin rebate says it is not valid with other offers. Plus, it has not been confirmed that the 3 day $100 DT rebate is for real. Some dude posted it on slickdeals, but there's been nothing on their website yet. Not sure about the friend and family, or if still in effect but it's separate from DT. Any of them would reduce the cost substantially.

I know DT will work hard to earn your business, at least around here.

I think friends and family rebate ended, no? Went to the website yesterday and it said it was no longer valid.

UPDATE. Going back to slickdeals (see link below), this looks to be a SoCal offer/promo only. But, they still have the $70 Michelin/BFG Rebate and others linked here.

I did like and agree with the slickdeals poster's comment regarding Tire Rack as compared to Discount Tire. Worth a repeat IMO.

"www.TireRack.com is the best place to research tires (but don't be deceived by Tire Rack's low prices - they don't include shipping, installation, balancing/rotating, repairs, etc. like Discount Tire)" Very true and I'd add that DT has beaten an online price quote for me.
