I have a bottle of Regane that has been in the garage for a few months now. I am in Florida and during the day the garage gets pretty hot. Regane when new from the store is about the color of beer, kind of yellow and clear looking. This Regane has turned to a dark brown color, about the same color as Coca Cola. I called SOPUS today and the guy said as long as the bottle is still sealed it would be OK, go ahead and use it. But he could not give a definitive answer why it changed colors.

Anyone here think it is still safe to use? I got it at B J's a few months ago as part of a 2-pack deal with a $10.00 Shell gift card offer. They won't take it back or exchange it because I don't have the receipt and it is over 30 days ago that I bought it. They can tell that from scanning my memebership card. I could try to exchange it at Walmart but I didn't buy it there.

I am interested what everyone thinks about this. I am unsure whether to use it.

as odd as this'll sound.. you called the manufacturer, they said it was ok.. I'd go for it!

you could always put a little in your lawnmower and see if it chokes up or not??

The high mileage Regane is a darker color. As long as the seal is not broken, I'd shake it well and use it with no worries.

IMO, Regane is a good fuel additive. Have a small stash myself, got the fuel card.

I would use it without hesitation. I have a few cases in my garage that are over two years old. Some have changed color a little and I have had no problems using it.

sayjac is correct, it is a very good fuel additive.

Good. Thanks for the help. Regane is the only fuel additive I use. I think it works very well, and I run a bottle about every 5000 miles.

Thanks for the help.

Every 4K-5K is a good time to use it. I've been doing it for years. I also add about and once to my gas cans for both my 4 stroke and 2 stroke application.

If it's the Regane Complete Fuel System Cleaner it has the 40% PEA detergent content in it. PEA is the best detergent you can buy and actually cleans deposits from injectors, combustions chamber and valves, without leaving its own residue behind. This stuff is great because it ACTUALLY WORKS, it's not just "feel good" material. I use it about every 4k or so.

Added it to a near empty tank this morning and probably drove 100 miles today, had a trip to Orlando and back, etc. I had no problems or ill effects. I guess the heat changed the color a bit but it doesn't make a difference in performance.

Thanks again.
