This upcomming spring I will have 3 chevy 350 dirt track engines running our local track in the road runner class. "which is basically the entry level class" Last year we drained the oil (vr1 20w-50) about every 2 races due to the extreme dusty conditions. my question is after viewing some of the virgin vr1 oil samples its seams to be a very bland oil, ect no moly or not much boron "even some lack luster zinc and phos levels". Does anyone think it would be wise to ad an additive like schaeffers132, or go with a more robuse oil like maxlife and ad somthing to boost the zddp? With the frequent oil changes its kinda out of the questioin to run somthing expensive like redline for just two races in this division, but I want my motors protected as much as I can.
