Need some help. Last fall I installed an SSD in my laptop. So far, it has been problem free. Until now. The drive is partitioned into C: & D: I use the D: partition to save things. I have my banking data, my stock data, The installation files from apps, all sorts stuff I find interesting. I don't install or run any software from this partition.
Lately, I don't know just when it started, I'm seeing files out of place, it the wrong folder, Today, I found severals copies of a folder scattered around in other folders.
It looks as though the directory structure of my D: partition is damaged. Is there any way, any tool that I can use to repair it? It's been several months since I backed up the laptop. This does not look good. I sure could use some experienced help.
