Because it is Saturday morning and I have nothing better to do, I compared the data sheets of some conventional 5w30s with the data sheet for Mobil 1 10w30. It would appear to me that the dino specs such as cST, viscosity index, etc. are closer to the 10w30 synthetic then the 5w30 synthetic. I am considering running Mobil 10w30 instead of using the 5w30 at it would appear to be a closer match to the oil the car was quite possibly designed to use.

Thoughts?

I suppose you're saying you want a thinner 30.
You could do the same with 5-30 by just swapping a qt of 5-20 or so to hit whatever 30 weight you somehow devined Honda had in mind for its V6.

Well, yes. The cST at 100 degrees C is a bit thinner than 5w30 with 10w30. I think the synthetic 10w30 is closer to the dino 5w30. Mobil 1 10w30 has a lower cST at 40 degrees C than most 5w30 dinos. Thought it would make it easier for me to use just one oil since I have one vehicle that requires 10w30 and two that require 5w30. I could just use the same oil for all three.
