I have a old tire pressure gauge that uses a needle for tire pressure and I want to upgrade the head to digital.Any suggestions on who makes a good/accurate digital gauge. Head only.Thansk Joe

Why? Some of those analog gauges are actually pretty good while many of the digital ones can be inaccurate.

I bought this one, its accurate, well made with some nice features. The quality seems pretty decent also.

One more on the AccuTire. I've had my old one for about six years. It died on me last year & I went back to Amazon and ordered new batteries & a spare AccuTire. Both work fine.
Is it dead on accurate? I don't know, I've never checked it...........but I believe it's at least as accurate as the cheapo gauges they give away at Discount Tire, which is where I buy all my tires.

Was once at a Stewarts (like 7-11) and an older lady was filling the tire (while husband watched). I offered her my Sears digital gauge to use. She thanked me and showed me a newer Sears digital gauge than I had.

Why have another battery to replace? Digital? No thanks. Plenty of places and reasons to go digital, but not for this.

I generally dont work on my car in pitch dark, and if I did, Id have a flashlight.
In dim/low light, Ive not had an issue.

That Craftsman gauge is beautiful! I like my AccuTire gauge, though, it's not as nice. The batteries last a VERY long time - years - if that is a concern. The one thing I have learned to look for is that the valve depressor inside the air chuck needs to be metal. I had a plastic one in a Slime brand gauge break off, rendering the gauge useless.

The one in my AccuTire digital gauge is plastic, but after 10+ years, it's still working. Original battery, too.

they had a deal to get it for 10$~~ I bought 8 and gave them out at christmas

I agree. I try to avoid battery powered stuff as much as possible.
The last thing I need as well is something to obsessive over. I resisted digital in my shop for test equipment(meters) for a long time but finally gave in. I just bought a digital caliper because having the fraction/MM/inches all in one is great but I find myself obsessing over .001 when .1 is good enough. The fluctuation with digital stuff drives me crazy.
