Diff oil?

My Toyota's manual specifies SAE 90 for the front and rear differentials.
I have some SAE 80W90 GL5 oil left over from a previous service on another vehicle.
Can I use this?
 
In my opinion, yes. The multigrade is better
It will flow better when starting out. This is important to many of us in colder climates.
But in South Africa, your local temperatures may make this a minor point to consider.

I will use 80W90 then,I am also using a 5W40 engine oil even though our min temperatures in winter here in Cape Town very rarely go below 45F
