out/off: unknown oil with looks to be OEM made filter.

in/on: 3.5 quarts Delo 400 XSP FS 5w-40 with a Carquest Premium 85334 (Fram PH9688 sized)

filter is constructed like a tank. tons of laser straight pleats and i love the grey silicone ADBV. the CQ Premium that went on is quite a bit larger.

Around this past Christmas I bought a Kubota d722 3 cylinder diesel with about 500 hours with an original Bobcat filter and the condition looked similar to yours. If its any consolation, my engine is running great, so I'm hoping/betting the Mule is probably OK. Thank you for sharing.

yea i dont know what that was about but im not worried with the filter upsize. iirc kawasaki calls for a 10w-30 but with how these are used (cold started thrown in gear and held to the floor) i went with the 5w-40. probably should’ve dumped some 0w-40 in it but i like the SN rated Delo 400. Delo has treated my family well. two 7.3 power smokes got well over 500k, both of dad’s duramax’s are north of 250k and that was all on the dino versions. it was on sale for $19 a gallon at walmart. normally probably wouldve gone with delvac due to cost but it was hard to pass.
