2020 silverado 1500 5.3L 117k miles
unknown mileage in service, 15% left on OLM

out/off: 8 quarts dealer bulk 0W-20 with ACDelco PF63

in/on: 6.5 quarts Valvoline Restore and Protect 5w30 and 1.5 quarts HPL Engine Cleaner 30 with Carquest Premium 84502

filter looks okay. note the ADBV photos and why i don’t like anything but silicone on the fleet. it stuck in positions it was bent into.

Sounds like those non-silicon adbv's get stiff. Not only will silicon stand up to the heat but it's more flexible to begin with so win/win for sure as you noted. Media gets a bit dizzy around the glued seem but rest of it looks good. I think these delco's come out okay overall most of the time.

R&P + EC30
Will patiently await your results.

A bit off topic but how does the truck run on 5w30? I have a 19 Silverado 5.3 and have been debating running 5w30 instead of 0w20.
valve train clatter is reduced with 5w30. other than that oil pressure stays about the same on the dash. the 6.2 that i put HPL PCEO 5w30 was going down the road at 60-65psi checked with my scan tool.
