Guy's what's a good additive to use to keep fuel fresh,i'm getting 100 gals of fuel delivered to my house for my personal use(for diesel tractor) and want to keep it fresh as this will take a little wile to use up.

name off some products...

Amsoil and Schaeffers both make products for diesel, you might want to check their sites. Sorry I don't have any names but I think I have you looking in the right direction. HTH

Big names are products from Power Service, Howes, Redline, Amsoil, Schaeffers, Standadyne, FPPF, Primrose.

They're all OTC in some fashion or another. Power Service is the most common OTC one, found at most Walmarts and FLAPS. Redline is at some/most FLAPS too. The others are commonly found at truck stops. Farm-type stores might carry'em too.

FLAPS = Friendly Local Auto Parts Store

IMHO you are better off buying fuel that is fresh vs getting alot of fuel all at once and hoping to keep it stable. IIRC biodiesel is much more stable than dino diesel due to much less oxidisable junk in it.

How much?? from a JD dealer?

roughly $5 per bottle, 16oz. treats 105 gallons, and it has a long spout for filling up per tank on the road, there winter blend (same 16 oz bottle) only treats 64 gallons, but at prices i've seen for competitors seems very economical, not 100% this formula is stanadyne as previous formula was. we run it through powerstrokes, dodge cummins, and john deere marine engines with never an issue fuel related

Actually, biodiesel is not more stable than Diesel #2. Biodiesel will break down around 6 months to a year. The comment about freshness applies more to biodiesel than D#2. the rapid break down of biodiesel is also one of the reasons why it is more environmentally friendly
