Diesel cold start after 6 weeks.

So the temperature finally dropped out of the 100's, for a cold start? 😁
Ha! yeah I wasn't impressed either. I have a video of my TDI doing a cold start, but it was more like 10F. Ok that had glowplugs and was way newer, but still. It worked way harder to start.

That said, loved it, love the patina, and while I'm a card carrying Ford hater, it's a cool old truck.

My neighbor who was like my grandfather had an ‘87. I loved that truck and wanted one so bad when I became older. Lol

Six weeks? My 40 yo diesels sit for six months or more, some for years and will fire right up.

Diesels are great. And diesel fuel stays fairly stable.

A lot of people dont understand the glow plug system on these trucks and never get them to start Mine starts without waiting for the glow plugs to warm up .

Mine too. No need to go through a full cycle even during freezing temps…
