Dielectric grease or NO-OX-ID / OX-Gard on fuses & relays

Which one is better to use on a application like a snowmobile or other power sports vehicle that can be exposed to the elements such as snow, water, or mud.
 
NO-OX-ID and Ox-Gard are water resistant and conduct electricity, unlike dielectric grease. I prefer either of those for electrical connections over dielectric grease.
 
A conductive grease is not what you want in this application. Actually there are very few applications where you do.

Dielectric grease will exclude moisture and other contaminates. It will NOT reduce the conductivity of the connection.

These are two opposite statements. 1st says dielectric grease won't reduce conductivity, 2nd implies it will. So which is it?

Dielectric grease doesn't conduct. But it's displaced from the connection mating surfaces when the connector is plugged in, so it doesn't prevent a connection. Unless, perhaps, the tension on the connector is so weak that it can't push the dielectric grease out of the way. But if that's the case it was a poor connection to start with, which would likely overheat.
