Didn't expect this from Auto-Rx?

*wow* such arrogant/immature response from a frequent poster.

(*even if this is just a joke/kidding but why such vengeful response?*)

Think I lost all my confidence in this said poster's integrity as well as decency from now on.

Q.

because frank called him a thief when in reality his company made a shipping error. so yeah kinda vengeful

you probably shouldn't be so judgmental, its sux to fall off that soap box

The point is dishonest gain. Oops! I moved out of the previous house and left my dead loved one's ashes, but have to go to court over it because you won't give me back what is mine? That's taking advantage of another's mistake. If you were going to keep it, you shouldn't have brought it up in the first place, IMO.

Frank tends to bring out the worst in people.
Look back to the 'Banned member carnage' when he was on this site.
Having been there, I would not judge electrolover quite so harshly.

But two wrongs don't make a right!

noted.

My take RE: my response to your postings as follows:

(1 ) Your original posting on this came with a bit of word associated with it, which mod stripped/modified to make it more "internet-friendy". I personally do not agree with the need of associating Frank with profanity no matter how difficult the relationship you had with him in the past. Have a bit of decency/respect towards others is all that I ask for (expect) from BITOGers.

(2 ) I dealt with Frank before. Maybe because I have a fairly decent understanding in Chemistry (organic chemistry was my high-school specialty), so I found him to be very easy/decent to deal with and spoke to so as to get the information I need to get my AutoRx works to my satisfaction. Mind you though: I also worked as an enterprise support guy for the better part of a decade and I came across many different "outsiders" that bear different personalities where frankly, my sympathy goes to him. Afterall: frustration and stress associsated with dealing with folks on the internet is what burned out a couple of my technical development partners where they ended up completely withdrawn from selling to customers out on the internet, period. They'd rather spend time dealing with OEM or research level behind the scene instead of coming into direct contact with internet-side of the avg. joe customers now.
These are good technical geeks who grew tired and bitter dealing with avg. joes out there.

No, I may not necessarily agree/disagree with how Frank responded to some of the posters in the past. What I do mind, however, is the general lack of decency/respect towards another and the use of profanity to exacerbate the flaming on a decent BBS board such as BITOG.

I know not many folks (c3po included) would not agree with me/my point of view on this said matter (with Frank). That being said, however, I seriously don't see the need walk all over Frank like that.

Q.

(*believe me: I have walked a mile in Frank's shoes RE: dealing with avg. joes on the internet (esp. NA consumers) and frankly, it's not pretty at all*)

Siding with what Gary Allen said:

@ OP:

Unless you personally contacted Frank Miller and obtained his approval for you to keep those extra bottles of AutoRx. Otherwise, it is inappropriate to keep those bottles and assume that you are fully entitled to them w/o paying. This is call integrity/honesty.

@ others: unless you have something constructive to contribute to this discussion, it's best not to casually throw in to the discussions for your reply is being viewed globally and that's how others judge you for your integrity.

Afterall: as much as many posters would like to believe in: many bulletin/discussion boards are "controlled" and internet is not "the last frontier".

My 2c's worth.

Q.

I'm not trying to sound like an internet police or similar but voicing my concerns when I see them. Internet, as I see it, is now literally filled with a lot of ill-behaved "children" that frankly speaking, it is difficult for us to take these kids postings seriously. Moreover: the lack of accountability (they think they can causally get away with their postings) and integrity is what makes these postings bears little to no value whatsoever....

Personally, I don't think somebody have to ask other people's opinion to do the right thing!!! At least not in an open forum like this. This is not politics.

i would call the company and inquire about it.i'm curious about the outcome.
one year at christmas i received an expensive mail order cake.the shipping address was my address with someone elses name.
my family had lived there for 25 years,i knew the p.o. and the name was not his.
i called the company and explained what was going on and they insisted i was the intended recipient and should go ahead and eat it.they would not admit an error and i could not find anyone local with the name on the package.so we had a pretty good cream pound cake with lemon curd.i tried to do the right thing,so i had no guilt about it.

Did you put a thread in this forum or any other forum and ask what to do? to make it right?

Better yet, half eaten or only a single slice in return. lol

Back on topic. As long as Frank and company are paying return postage, consider it a no-brainer. Send it back, it's actually pretty simple, and the right thing to do!

Most likely he's somewhere west of Laramie working on his clean phase.

People wanting to keep things that aren't rightfully theirs is nothing new.

The truly shocking thing about this lengthy thread is that Oregoonian said returning the extra bottles would make Torquejumper an honest person and an example to his "wife and children."

While it's obvious that parents need to set good examples for their children, why on earth does Oregoonian throw the wife in there? I'm a guy, and I don't have any particular interest in women's rights (other than that they have them), but are we all just presuming that husbands need to set examples for their wives the same way they do their children? That is the most blatantly sexist remark I've heard in a long, long time.

FWIW, I vote for offering to return the bottles. Not to set examples for anyone, but just to do the right thing for the sake of doing the right thing.
