Did they get him? There is a MASSIVE manhunt in Texas. 10 days in...

Pretty sure he's in Mexico by now, back with his cartel.. Maybe he'll be suspected of ratting out a member and will be exterminated? Heres for hope...

While I agree with you his life will probably not be long because of "that life," his actions probably have earned him respect and "rank" in that world...

He was probably gone later that day.. I'm thinking an underground tunnel? Just realized that there are many Texans on the board.

He obviously had help, and apparently a LOT of it.

After reading more about the inmates crimes, and "high security risk" status, I am 100% convinced he had outside and inside help with the escape.

I have witnessed staff manipulation first hand, where they were made to bring contraband into a facility, on and off over a few years time. Finally caught and fired, but not prosecuted.. (keeping scandal out of news feeds).

His gang connections on the outside are quite capable of setting up an extortion trap against a member of the staff. Sex, lies, drugs, money, physical harm to loved ones, can easily be used to extort a member of staff, into almost anything.

Pretty sure the restraint key and tools were hidden by an officer inside the security cage, in a spot he was informed of by the outside gang. At a bare minimum the plan was facilitated by his gang working with an employee to learn the best way to conduct a successful escape attempt.

OR:

That prison has serious security failures and disregard for procedures related to officer safety, that I would have expected a few staff fatalities there recently. Prisons in states like Texas don't play games, too many violent criminals there, too many serious injuries and fatalities between inmates in them.

I'm guessing that over the course of the investigation of circumstances surrounding the escape, some staff members will turn out to have very questionable connections to criminal organizations.

anything for money
anything to protect ur loved one(s).
2 tools the smart criminally insane (don't follow social
rules/covenants) use on the rest of us to 'have it easy'.

I only watched 1/2, can't C going on'n on w/it. Sad w/another
escape in his history. Hope U R not in that area and remain safe.
Our prisons R pretty poor at doing camand'n control of the worse,
poor at weeding out those who do not need 2 B there, & much more

And that's why protecting yourself and family in your house is so important.. But I'd bet with the skills he seems to have, he'd be able to cut your throat in your sleep.

When someone is that violent, that evil, that cocky and proud of their actions, they need deaded. I couldn't do law enforcement, I'd wind up executing someone, right there on the spot. And then I would be treated just like one of these inhuman creatures.
