Hello all, new here and looking for options , Dexos2. Have a 2018 Colorado with a 2.8 Duramax. It's hard to find a D2 5w30 approved oil locally, can get Liqui-Moly 4605 easily, and Valaoline SynPower MST and Mobil 1 ESP with some effort. Is any of these 3 better/worse than the others? I know I can get Pennzoil Euro L at Walmart, just would rather not.

I've looked at this as well on a new purchase
Amalie offers a Dexos 2 in 5w40. Just to add it to the mix

C'mon, walmart has the coolest looking people going there ( http://www.peopleofwalmart.com/ ). Run with the hip kids there.
My choice would be walmart's Pennzoil Euro L dexos2 stuff. Order it from walmart.com if you don't want to go there.
Also, Amazon has a great selection.
Or Mobil 1 dexos2 would be my next choice, either in 0w40 or 5w30 form.
AC Delco 5w30 dexos2 would be what GM kinda wants you to use, and Summit Racing has it. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/ado-10-9253/overview/

I just got off the phone with a independent oil analysis lab, that samples our machine oils, and talked to a lab guy at Northland oil last week. Both people was very enlightening and informative, they both basically said much of the same things pertaining to synthetic oil, specifically the Dexos2 rated oils. SOO..... since i can get Valvoline MST in a 5 gallon jug, with easy pour spout, for $128.... gonna try it, for now.

The deal oil film gave you was very good- shipping is free over $100

I also own a 2018 Colorado with the 2.8 Duramax. I plan to use the ACDelco oil as it's easy for me to swing by the parts counter at the dealership. I've always used Mobil 1 for my gas engines but decided to just go with the factory oil this time around. If anyone has any bad things to say about the AC Delco oil, I'd love to hear them. I'm also curious who makes it (ExxonMobil)?

If you don't mind, what does your dealer charge for the oil?
