Can anyone post a link or share what the extra or different tests actually are for meeting Dexos 1? I know PQI shows how everyone looks based on SN qualification but I keep hearing that Dexos 1 has its own tests that must be passed and its stated that those tests are tougher than other standards but I can't seem to find exactly what those tests are and what results look like.

Interesting how the link chart also conveniently avoided ethanol emulsification, which GF-5 exceeds dexos1 by a considerable margin. Especially since a large portion of the GM engine line is of the flex fuel variety. And it really doesn't seem to be that big of an issue to make sure and use only a dexos1 oil in a GM engine anyway. The published a tech bulletin some time ago that a GF-5 rated synthetic is ok to use instead of a dexos1 rated oil.

That is typical marketing. Always compare the strong points ignore the weak points. If you buy anything else over factory(ACdelco) that meet Dexos1, often meet GF-5 as well. You can even buy Pennzoil Gold 5w30 cheaper at Walmart, meets GF-5, than ACdelco, which doesn't say that it meets GF-5.

Thanks for the link. First time I have seen that chart.
Lots of detail, much more tests than the summary above even mentions, in https://www.aftonchemical.com/Lists/Brochure/Attachments/40/Specification_Handbook.pdf , and go to page 110 or Ctrl-F search for dexos.
Additional tougher sludge, wear, aeration, shearing, .... tests yada, yada, yada. dexos is a tough spec, dexos1 for gasoline, and dexos2 for diesels that call for it. Notice all the tests are perfectly suitable for a most cars, not JUST GM engines, from Peugeots to Hondas...

That is interesting. Wonder why its not on the bottle.

Good question. I saw the mention on the Brazilian bottle, but there was no Starburst or Donut, either. They're entitled to use the marks, but for whatever reason, chose not to. Realistically, it's usually going to be grabbed by counter people and techs, not by customers on retail shelves. So, having the markings isn't as crucial, but it's not like omitting them is saving them money.
