Here, a good one might be developing. I'll be brief.
The title tool is a battery powered (DeWalt 20 v.) chain saw (12" bar) on a pole, purchased at Home Depot.
Limbing with sis & BIL 3 days ago (6/11) was my introduction to it.
It worked well...the chain was sharp.
It stopped.
We assumed a "thermal shut-off" occurred. Such a feature is mentioned in the manual.
It didn't 'cool off' / self-restore.
Poking around the tool a bit was something my BIL did whilst I was elsewhere.
No mechanical binding or other tangible symptom was observed. Fully topped up batteries changed nothing.
It's under warranty and he'll take it to a DeWalt service center this week.
I will update this thread.
In the meantime, any experiences or comments on this tool, type of tool, the DeWalt system involved, their service centers or anything else relevant, is welcome.
