Dent in Filter Can Cause Failure

Pretty sure I have run filters with small dents, but it does increase the chance of a filter canister failure:

I have had a few , no problems. Small Dente are fine, big dents may be another story.

I would be more concerned about the dent compromising the paper filter somehow.

I imagine as long as the dent doesn't cause a cannister leak, should be alright.

Yet another reason to take the filter out of the box and examine it, before heading for the checkout line.
