Denso CAF

Not bad, but not great. Generally like Denso, but this CAF is different than OE and other aftermarket. Those filters the pleats run lengthwise; here with the Denso, pleats run widthwise. Have to work the filter around the accel pedal and this style made that task harder. Replaced today with a UAC Cabin Filter, with the pleats lengthwise. Took less than 5 mins.

Yep. Both! You kind of have to smoosh it to install it.

The new one went in easier.

I just changed out CAF's in my Scion XB2 and XD as I do every Spring. Some of the manufacturers now spec the same filter for both, which wasn't the case in the past. So I got a pair of matched cheap Denso's. It was a fair fit in the XD but a lousy fit in the XB. Very flimsy and had to smoosh it. About .25 in wider than the Wix. The outgoing separate part no. Poland Wix's were way higher quality. I seem to recall having a problem with a Denso AF for one of those cars that was just off size enough to not fit. Maybe a case of increased thinning of part no.'s covering more applications.
