Truck ia a 2006 Freightliner M2 with the CAT C7 engine/HUEI. I change the oil every 12k - 14k kms to keep the HUEI happy. My cost on both oils are about the same, $75 for 20l. Also use this oil in a Toyota forklift. Is one of these oils significantly better than the other? I have been using the Delvac for many years.

Duron SHP is billed as semi-synthetic, does it translate into better performance?

Not sure without testing but the Duron was billed as extended drain. When I used the 10w30, I checked the cold weather specs and it was better than Rotella T4, Citgo, Motomaster and the Co-op DMO (which i am now using).

I see it for the first 74,000km in my 3500, after the factory fill. Did a measly two used oil analysis and was bored so I no longer waste my time. It had little to no shear even with 2.5% fuel dilution and oxidation was in check. Was a great oil but I switched because the Co-op was a touch cheaper and because it is refinednin this province.
