Dehumidifier with oil/filters

If I stock up a couple years worth of oil and filters for both my vehicles, and store it in my basement where I have a dehumidifier, will that be ok? Or will the dehumidifier mess with the properties of the oil (even though it's closed), and the rubber or whatever that is on the oil filter?

Can I keep tires in my basement in the same situation, or will that affect them too?

I think you're worrying far too much.

In your basement it should be fine regardless.

I doubt that the folks living in permanently dehumidified areas such as Phoenix, Yuma, or Tucson worry about their stashes in the garage.

There's nothing better for the majority of your long term storage than cool, dry and clean.

they say 5 yrs is general shelf life.. silicone spray if your really paranoid

I'm still trying to come to grips why people want to stash oil away. 1-2 oil changes sounds reasonable, but I struggle with a couple of years worth of oil.
