We need some definitions here. I am not capable of doing a write-up but there is a lot of confusion in these posts. Who can do it?

There needs to be a definition of Propylene glycol and ethylene glycol. Then there needs to be a definition of the corrosion prevention techs. Standard silicate, OAT and then HOAT(g05).

So often someone asks what kind of coolant to use and the reply is "propylene glycol." Obviously, that does not say anything.

After my own hunt for the "aftermarket" coolant for my Suzuki, I'd also would like to read the same write-up.
Ethylene glycol: Silicate-based (mostly American?), low-Silicate Phosphate (Europeans?), no-Silicate Phosphate (Japanese?).
Do Propylene glycol coolants have the same basic ingredients?

I ended up buying the OEM concentrate from the dealer...

Yes, actually I have Mitsubishis and have no idea what the original coolant is. It is green and is propylene glycol. That is all I know.

Like you stated, it seems some manufactures have coolants that are subsets of the HOAT and OAT technologies.
