decent starter tap and die set

Seems every now and then i come across a need for a tap/die set because my thread file just isn't cutting it. Maybe I want new tools.

I'm looking for the most basic set starter set. I mainly work on asian cars so metric only set for now.

i know irwins is a solid brand. I just dont know the common sizes.

Most recently i borrowed a 10x 1.25 die on the SV650.

isn't hanson and irwin the same company? ive had some irwin ez outs and love them.

that KD tool/ gearwrench @ 76.78 is a little tempting. I'm trying to pull up the sizes.

Anyone know the most common tap/die that i would need for a nissan.

I'd look for a set with a real nice durable blow molded case because as you replace them with
high quality HSS taps like Greenfield or Morse, it's the case that's gonna count in the long run.
